The number of flood victims in four districts in the state declined to 385 people as of 4 pm compared to 439 people at noon, with five relief centres still open while 11 were closed.

State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat Major (PA) Imran Azemi said the number involved 106 families in Yan, Kuala Muda, Baling and Pendang districts.

For the Yan district, the victims were placed at Surau Kampung Batu 22 (71 people), Surau Kampung Teroi Bukit (117), Surau Kampung Sungai Lintang (62) and Kampung Sungai Malai (44) while four more relief centres at Masjid Titi Teras, Surau Nurul Huda Batu 18 1/2, Surau Kampung Lubuk Boi and Surau Kampung Setar had been closed.

Meanwhile, in Pendang, a relief centre remained open at Cenderawasih Hall which housed 75 people from 19 families.

Three relief centres in the Baling district had been closed, namely, at Surau Kampung Seputeh, Surau Kampung Tawar and Macang Bubuk Community Hall.

Meanwhile, all four relief centres in the Kuala Muda districts, namely, Dewan Keda and Surau Kampung Tepi Sungai, Surau Kampung Batu 5, Surau Kampung Sungai Rotan and Surau Kampung Guar Stesen were also closed this afternoon.
