Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak continued his visit agenda in Sarawak with a walkabout at Taman Malihah here this evening.

He arrived at Darul Furqan Mosque in Taman Malihah, accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Alfred Jabu Numpang.

Also present were Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Tupong State Assemblyman Datuk Daud Abdul Rahman and Sarawak Drainage and Irrigation Department director Chok Moi Soon.

Upon arrival, Najib was given a briefing on last month's flood in the housing garden by Kuching Civil Defence officer Lt Shaiful Azril Zainal.

After the briefing, the prime minister joined village residents for Asar prayers at the mosque.

After prayers, Najib announced an allocation of RM3 million to build a new mosque for the housing estate while the state government would also provide a similar amount for the project.

He later visited the Anglican Chapel in Taman Malihah and announced an allocation of RM1 million to build a new chapel. The allocation will also be matched by the state government.

Najib ended his walkabout with a visit to stalls along a 50-metre stretch in the housing area.
