Patrons who long to visit entertainment centres including karaokes, just hold on for now.

The government on Sunday announced that some social and entertainment activities remain prohibited to control the spread of COVID-19.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the prohibition includes entertainment centres, pubs, night clubs, reflexology and karaoke centres.

In addition, the ban also applies to theme parks and religious parades in large numbers, he added.

"(The prohibition is also on) holding feasts, open houses and any other activity that involves the presence of a crowd in one place that may complicate the practice of social distancing and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOP)," he said in his special address on the Movement Control Order (MCO) on Sunday.

The Prime Minister said the public could visit the National Security Council's (MKN) website for more information on the list of activities or sectors allowed and prohibited in the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) period.
