The family of emcee and entertainment personality Datuk Mahadzir Lokman has requested people to stop spreading rumours that he has passed away.

His sister, Ida Lokman, told Astro AWANI that her heart felt heavy and sad when the family kept on receiving condolence messages.

“I don’t understand why people are sending condolences messages.

“We are so worried and sad. And now, we have to respond to condolence messages,” he said.

Ida said her brother is ‘slowly responding to treatment’.

“All his vital signs are ok,” she said.

She added that he is generally stable but has been admitted and placed under the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for close monitoring and treatment.
