Inspector General of Police, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the police today will arrest those who were involved in the Low Yat brawl, including blogger Papagomo and a party branch leader.

"Those I asked to surrender themselves have not done so. Today, we will come for them and make the arrests,"Khalid said at a press conference today.

He said the police had given opportunity to surrender to those who were involved behind the violence at the plaza but they have not done so.

"Now, we are coming for them," he said adding that people should also not inflame the situation.

The blogger had allegedly posted a photo of a bloodied victim of a robbery in Shah Alam and linked it to the Low Yat brawl.

In a civil suit in 2013, the courts had identified blogger Papa Gomo as Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris.

The violence over the weekend began after a 22-year-old youth was detained by the plaza management for allegedly trying to steal a smartphone. The suspect was later handed over to the police and his accomplice was believed to have instigated his friends to run riot.

Shahrul Anuar Abdul Aziz today pleaded not guilty to stealing smartphone at the Kuala Lumpur Magistrate Court, Jalan Duta.

The unemployed suspect was released on a RM3,000 bail.
