Malaysia Makkal Sakti Party will leave to Barisan Nasional to decide the candidates for the upcoming 14th General Election.

Its president, Datuk R.S.Thanenthiran said the party will oblige on whichever seats offered by Barisan Nasional top leadership.

“We will accept wherever the seats are, even if there are no seats offered, we will still support Barisan Nasional at the general election to clinch the majority two-third win,” said Thanenthiran.

“I hope that this time around we will be given the opportunity to contest given the high number of members in the party,” he told reporters after Malaysia Makkal Sakti Party Christmas and New Year’s Open House at its Perak headquarters here today.

To date, the party boasts 80 per cent of new members bringing the total numbers of memberships to 123,000.

The party, he said also welcomed the call by the Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who has urged Makkal Sakti to attract 7,000 new members in two months. The party enlisted 10,000 new members made up of Indian voters during that period.

Thanenthiran also said the huge participation is testimony that Makkal Sakti was getting the support from youths in achieving excellence of Barisan Nasional.
