National laureate Datuk A. Samad Said is officially now a DAP member.

The 80-year-old received his membership card from DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang at an event at Gua Musang, Kelantan.



He had yesterday, confirmed rumours of him joining the Chinese-dominated party.

Samad had previously made his appearance in the many rallies and protests organized by the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), in addition to leading the Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih) in demanding a change in the electoral process.
