Malaysian mixed martial arts hero, Ev Ting will be headlining ONE Championship's latest event in Kuala Lumpur, as he takes on veteran fighter from Iran, Kamal Shalorus.

ONE: Throne of Tigers is set to rock Stadium Negara this February 10 which will also feature exciting bouts from the country's top MMA fighters.

ONE Championship CEO Victor Cui said Malaysian fans have always been intensely passionate about the sport that it reaches 'fever pitch' every time a fight is held.

"We can’t wait to be back in February. Ev Ting is the biggest Malaysian MMA star right now, and he is poised for another thrilling performance,” he said in statement today.

This is the second time Ting has been honoured to headline the promotion's event at home soil.

Ting, 26, is is one of the country’s most promising young talents who lives and trains out of Auckland, New Zealand and currently holds a record of 12-3 in his professional career.

In his last fight, Ting beat Australian Rob Lisita via unanimous decision, after outlasting the latter in three rounds of the lightweight bout.

Meanwhile, his opponent is a 39-year-old elite wrestler who possesses the ability to finish his opponents with highlight-reel knockouts.

He has faced the biggest names in ONE Championship’s lightweight division including Eduard Folayang, Ariel Sexton, and Shinya Aoki.
