Asia’s largest mixed martial arts (MMA) organization, ONE Fighting Championship (ONE FC) is set to rock Stadium Putra again this October with two Malaysian fighters confirmed in the fight card.

The event, ONE FC: Roar Of Tigers will feature a main event fight between two top featherweight fighters, Marat Gafurov and Rob Lisita.

Malaysia's very own 'Evil' Ev Ting will also meet Edward Kelly from the Philippines in the co-main event, as well as bout between another Malaysian fighter, Raymond Tan against Singapore’s Stephen Langdown.

Ting is regarded as one of Malaysia’s top MMA fighters who made his professional debut in 2001. He recently defeated Indonesia’s Yohan Mulia Legowo in the first round in Jakarta last June.

In another category, Tan, who fights in the bantamweight bout is expected to use his long reach and Tae-Kwondo skills to beat Langdown. He is also regarded as one of the best bantamweight fighters in the country.

“We are coming back to the capital of Malaysia to put on one of the greatest fight cards the city has seen to date. ONE FC is putting together a fight card that will blow away the millions of passionate fight fans all around the world.

"Marat Gafurov and Rob Lisita are two of the best featherweights in the world. Both of them have a penchant for putting on exciting battles, and I think the fans will be in for a treat," said ONE FC CEO, Victor Cui in a statement.

Meanwhile, ONE FC Vice President, Rich Franklin believes that Malaysia has the ability to produce top fighters and put the nation's name in the MMA world map.

He said the support given by Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin towards MMA has boosted the sport and helped so much in promoting it.

"What I can say is that Malaysia has great fighters and I want to see more local fighters participating the MMA championships," he said during an open workout session by ONE FC at Paradigm Mall on Friday.

He said Malaysia MMA fans should thank Khairy for bringing this sport to this country.

ONE FC: Roar OF Tigers will be the fifth ONE FC event in Malaysia, and scheduled be to held on October 17th at Putra Indoor Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
