AirAsia is offering complimentary in-flight entertainment on-board via the roKKi portal, as part of enhancements to its roKKi wi-fi service that was launched in 2014.

In a statement today, the airline said the service is available on selected Malaysia AirAsia flights (flight code AK) on the roKKi portal via www.rokki.com and is currently available on 33 aircraft.

It said the content includes curated travel, fashion and sports videos produced by AirAsia, as well as content from Astro Shaw such as local blockbuster movies including Ola Bola, Polis Evo, Maindhan and The Journey.

AirAsia said local action movie 'Temuan Takdir' also made its debut on board selected flights for three days from Aug 8-10, marking the first Malaysian movie to be released in-flight before its grand premiere in the cinemas.

Chief Executive Officer Aireen Omar said connectivity is a necessity, and the airline is happy to provide roKKi Wi-Fi to all guests and share the enhancements it made to the roKKi platform.

"Now, our guests will be able to enjoy free entertainment on their own devices while they fly, with a wide range of local and international content made available for everyone.

"We look forward to welcoming our guests on board our roKKi-enabled flights, and hope that they will take advantage of this free in-flight entertainment, apart from utilising the roKKi Chats and Internet plans, which are available at affordable prices," said Aireen.

AirAsia roKKi Wi-Fi Plans include Chats Plan for only RM9 for 3MB (WhatsApp, WeChat, LINE, KakaoTalk & Viber apps) and Internet Plan for only RM18 for 10MB (for lightweight Internet usage, excluding YouTube and app store downloads), said the airline.
