Robert De Niro for "Silver Linings Playbook"
Robert De Niro is nominated for his second Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, having won in 1974 with "The Godfather 2." "Raging Bull" earned him the Oscar for Best Actor six years later.



Alan Arkin for "Argo"
Seven years after his success in "Little Miss Sunshine," Alan Arkin will try to win the Oscar in this category for the second time.




Tommy Lee Jones for "Lincoln"
This is the thrid nomination in this category for the actor, who received the Oscar in 1993 for "The Fugitive."
