KUALA LUMPUR:Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri who was confirmed positive for COVID-19 has apologised for his weaknesses and shortcomings.

At the same time, he is leaving all matters to Allah.

"To Allah I surrender, to Him I ask for help.

"I apologise for any form of weakness and shortcomings from myself," he said in the latest post on his personal Facebook just now.

In an earlier post, Dr Zulkifli confirmed that he was positive for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, he also informed that the Special Mus'adah Student Special Series 2 promised by him to the stranded students will be continued by religious agencies under his ministry.

According to him, the Musa’adah COVID-19 programs that have been arranged will continue to be carried out as usual throughout Malaysia.

He said there were still many who needed financial assistance, basic goods, food and others during this difficult period and since last March, various assistance has been channelled by his party regardless of religion and race.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has really taught me the meaning of togetherness. I will make sure all help reaches its target, God willing.

“I pray to Allah SWT that Allah SWT saves and heals Malaysians who suffer from COVID-19, including myself. I love you all,” he added.

Dr Zulkifli also said until now his health condition has improved.

"Thank you to the Minister of Health, the Director General of Health Malaysia and the doctors and frontline staff who are very concerned about my condition," said Dr Zulkifli.
