All residents of Pusat Bandar Utara, Kuala Lumpur area under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) should receive food distribution.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said if there were still residents who did not receive it, it could be due to misunderstandings.

However, he said, it could be resolved immediately because of the presence of the Social Welfare Department (JKM) and Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) officials in the vicinity.

He said he was aware of issues that had arisen including in social media and directed JKM and DBKL to resolve the matter immediately.

"Actually, food distribution is happening... but there may be some who were left out when the distribution was being made.

"Residents in Pusat Bandar Utara area and around the KL Wholesale Market can contact the operations centre for any issues or problems.

(This includes) residents who have problems buying other essentials such as baby milk, diapers and so on... they can contact the operations centre.

"Those who wish to obtain food items other than those provided by the government can also contact the operations centre," he said at a press conference here today.

Ismail Sabri said there should not be any issues as JKM officers were always there to help them.
