The remand order against a lorry driver who was detained in connection with the discovery of a headless body in Jalan Kampung Batu 4, Slim River, was extended for another seven days today.

The order to extend the remand was issued by Magistrate Syahdatul Kamilah Zakaria.

She ordered the 35-year-old suspect to be held in remand until Nov 26 to facilitate police investigation into the case.

The headless body was found in a drain last Nov 13.

The suspect had been in remand since last week following the discovery of the headless body, identified to be that of K. Ganesan, 50.

Police also found an empty dog food plastic sack with a black garbage bag containing a man's head inside.
