IPOH: There is no issue of queue jumping in the vaccine administration to local artiste Datin Paduka Eina Azman and her husband Datuk Paduka Kaiser Gurmeet Abdullah at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) here because they are considered high-risk individuals.

HRPB director Dr Abdul Malek Osman said the couple was referred by a specialist because both of them had health problems and comorbidities.

"The couple received the COVID-19 vaccine shots at HRPB vaccination centre (PPV) on Tuesday," he said in a statement today.

He said the hospital's PPV received referrals of patients from various health facilities within and outside of Perak.

According to Dr Abdul Malek, all patients or clients who were referred to the PPV had undergone pre vaccination assessment (PVA) at hospital specialist health clinics.

"We only administer vaccine to patients or clients who were referred here and do not carry out the PVA at the facility," he said.

Yesterday, photos of Eina, whose real name is Ainur Syakina Azman, 26, and her husband getting the vaccination at the hospital went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, Perak police chief Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid, when contacted, said those travelling interstate for vaccination only needed to show their appointment letters or their MySejahtera application to the authorities at state borders.
