KUALA LUMPUR: The resolution reached at the Muzakarah Committee of the National Council on Islamic Religious Affair 118th Meeting following discussions on the 'Ibu Yati' religious doctrine, has been presented to the Conference of Rulers.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri said before deliberating on the resolution, a meeting was convened on Feb 17 at the Islamic Complex Putrajaya to discuss on the report submitted by the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS).

"I would like to express my gratitude to JAIS for their strong cooperation in preserving and protecting the beliefs and practices of Islam.

"The Federal government is always working together with the state religious authorities to ensure that issues arising from teachings that deviate from that of Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah are properly resolved," he said in a post on his official Facebook page.

He said the post was uploaded to keep the public, especially Muslims, informed on the development on investigations into the deviant sect.
