PETALING JAYA: Persatuan OKU Sentral (OKU Sentral) president Datuk Ras Adiba Radzi today declared that the ILHAM 2022 concert held in conjunction with this year's International Day of Persons with Disabilities celebrations at the Petaling Jaya Performing Arts Centre (PJPAC), here yesterday a rousing success.

Ras Adiba said the talented stage performers from Malaysia's community of persons with disabilities (PwD) might pave the way for national road tours next year.

"People usually think that performances by PwDs are just normal, but they are really great. So our focus is to bring them to every state to show off their talent," she told Bernama.

Ras Adiba, who is also Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) chairman, said she was grateful that the performers were high spirited in showcasing their talents, with some practising online for this concert.

Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, singer cum poet Datuk Mohamad Nasir Mohamed and film director Datuk Afdlin Shauki were just some of the honoured guests at the concert.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is celebrated on Dec 3 annually.
