Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will fly family members of Chinese passengers on flight MH370, who intend to go Kuala Lumpur, the airline said here Sunday.

"MAS will bear all the expenses," the airline's regional senior vice-president for Greater China, Joshua Law Kok Hwa, said, adding that they must have valid a passport and visa to visit Malaysia.

"Officials from MAS would receive them at the KL International Airport," Law told Malaysian reporters at the Lido Hotel.

He said a few relatives of the Chinese passengers on board the missing Flight MH370 had requested to fly to Malaysia to obtain updates on the situation.

MAS Flight MH370, carrying 227 passengers, including two infants, and 12 crew, went missing en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing about an hour after taking off from KLIA at 12.41 am Saturday.

It should have landed here at 6.30 am.
