The Home Ministry has not received any complaint or report on Malaysian businessman Low Taek Jho, better known as Jho Low, having dual citizenship, the Dewan Rakyat was told today.

Jho Low had also not applied to give up his Malaysian citizenship, the ministry said in a written reply to Wong Chen (PKR-Kelana Jaya).

"A check shows that Jho Low is the holder of a valid Malaysian passport," it said.

Wong had wanted the ministry to state whether Jho Low had at least one United States passport.

If it was so, the ministry should deprive the businessman of his Malaysian citizenship in accordance with Article 24 of the Federal Constitution, he said.
