The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will not call Lembaga Tabung Haji (LTH) in its probe on 1Malaysia Development Board (1MDB) for now.

It’s chairman Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed yesterday said the Malaysian hajj pilgrim funds board will not be called at the moment due to PACs busy schedule, Free Malaysia Today news portal reported.

However, regarding the LTH purchase of 1.5 acres of land owned by 1MDB's Tun Razak Exchange, Nur Jazlan said he was already paying attention to the issue.

He added, there were other investment opportunities for LTH in managing monies collected from would-be pilgrims.

“The purchase involves the integrity of the LTH investment committee and its board and whether they were directed by an invisible hand.

“The purchase is in a prime location but is the deal on current market values?” he said.

He was implying that future land values, highly subjective, should not have been the criterion for the purchase.
