No words can describe the undying anxiety of a mother after two of her children have gone missing for more than 15 hours.

The mother, who is known as Yana realised her 11-year-old son, Mohd Iman Zafri and his sister, Nur Alyshah Zafiera, 9, had gone missing after they did not return home from a short trip to a nearby store located on the ground floor of a business premise in Jalan Pinang 52, Taman Daya, Johor Bahru.

"The brother has asked for my permission to go to the shop and since this is a common occurrence, I allowed him to go. Even the store owner knows them,” said Yana, when contacted by Astro AWANI here today.

During the 9pm incident, Mohd Iman was wearing a black shirt and pants while Nur Alysyah was clad in a white pyjamas with red polka dots.

Yana added, before they left the store, Mohd Iman even asked whether his grandmother wanted anything from the store.

"Often he would take five minutes to get back to our store. They were gone for 15 minutes and when they didn’t show up, my husband and I felt something was wrong,” she said.

The footages from the closed-circuit television (CCTV) in the store showed that the two siblings were walking towards the shop they were headed. The recording did not feature any other clues about their sudden disappearance.

Yana and her husband decided to lodge a police report about an hour after the incident but the police have asked the couple to wait for 24 hours before the case can be classified as missing or abduction.

They have also spread the information about their missing children through their business social media account.

"We have informed all relevant parties including our relatives. If there’s anyone with information about my children please contact us or the authorities,” said Yana.
