KUALA LUMPUR: Rapid KL has introduced two new shuttle bus routes to Sri Petaling and Bandar Puteri Puchong LRT stations, starting today.

Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd chief executive officer (CEO) Muhammad Yazurin Sallij Muhammad Yasin said that this is the result of a collaboration between Rapid Rail and Rapid Bus, which would link communities around Sri Petaling and Bandar Puteri Puchong.

"Currently, the residents around Sri Petaling and Bandar Puteri have the option of saving in terms of fuel costs, tolls, and parking fees by using the new shuttle bus service that passes through major residential areas with fares as low as RM1," he said in a statement, today.

The new shuttle bus route (T582) to Sri Petaling LRT Station covers the main areas of Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, Taman Bukit Intan and the Bukit Jalil Hockey Stadium.

As for the new shuttle bus route (T605) to Bandar Puteri Puchong LRT Station, it covers the areas of Bandar Puteri Puchong, Puchong Hartamas, Kampung Pasir Puchong and Puteri 11.

Through this introduction, residents have the additional option to start their journey to or from the LRT stations involved with a bus frequency of every 20 minutes in addition to enjoying a more economical one-way fare as low as RM1.

Meanwhile, Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd CEO Abdul Hadi Amran expressed hope that the new shuttle bus service will make it easier for the local community to travel and will provide savings when they connect to the Rapid KL rail network to their destinations.
