The police will be taking stern action against the leader of the Red Shirts, Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos, for incitement.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the Sungai Besar UMNO division chief's statement on Sept 21 was uncalled for.

"Such seditious statements are just unacceptable. PDRM will take stern action immediately," Khalid said on his Twitter tonight.

On Sept 21, a Facebook post under the name 'Dato Jamal Yunos' had stated that 'machetes will fly' on Nov 19 if Bersih 5 continues with its planned rally.

The post also promised "a repeat of the May 13 tragedy".

However, Jamal subsequently denied making the statement, claiming that the Facebook account was a fake.

In a post on another Facebook account bearing the same name, Jamal accused Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng as the one responsible for the fake account.
