Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has expressed his gratitude to the frontliners and the people of the country for adhering to the guidelines of the Movement Control Order (MCO) and the Conditional MCO (CMCO).

He said the compliance saw Malaysia succeeded in curbing the spread of COVID-19 and account for 80 per cent of cases fully recovered.

"I would like to express my gratitude to the frontline staff for the sacrifices and commitments that have been poured out all these while.

"I would like to thank Malaysians for complying with the SOP (standard operating procedure) while undergoing daily routine throughout the MCO and the CMCO," he said in his special address on the Short-term Economic Recovery Plan (ERP) on Friday.

Muhyiddin added that with such compliance being practised and the number of COVID-19 cases in the country under control, he was confident that the prohibited sectors would be opened quicker.
