Sabah Police Commissioner, Datuk Hamza Taib stated that forensic investigation is still ongoing to identify the identity of one of the dead Sulu terrorists is believed to be the missing-in-action (M.I.A) General, Commander Haji Musa.

Investigation was conducted after security forces found an uniform of the Sulu terrorist which has General rank on it in ‘mopping-out’ operation area in Kampung Tanduo.

The operation now started focusing around the areas of Kampung Tanjung Batu and Sungai Bilis.

The security situation in Lahad Datu and Semporna town has turned back to normal and the daily business operation in both town run smoothly monitored by security forces.

The effort to retrieved out several terrorist bodies in the operation area is still on progress and from 54 bodies that were found only 22 managed to be fished out from the area in Kampung Tanduo and Kampung Tanjung Batu.

18 from it which badly decomposed have been taken to Hospital Lahad Datu while the rest were sent to Hospital Tawau for autopsy.

97 people linked with the terrorist and 125 people who trying to breach in the operation area have been arrested by police for further investigation.

Police have denied completely on the allegation that they are on the shooting spree by targeting women and children. This came after a teenager was killed after was shot by the security forces at Kampung Sungai Bilis on Sunday.

Police also advised public including local resident of the affected village not to enter the operation zone as there still a threat.

In the meantime, Kiram family reported that they ready to retreat their men from Lahad Datu in order to stop the bloodshed and representatives from ‘Sultan Sulu’ also seek permission from Malaysia to go to Sabah to discuss on the solution of the conflict.
