The photo of a traffic summons reminder notice doing the rounds on social media is authentic, and it has been issued to those with outstanding summonses.

Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director Datuk Azisman Alias said those who received the notice should check on their summonses at the nearest District Police Headquarters or via other channels as stated in the letter.

“Payments can be made at the traffic summons counters, or any post office and Maybank automated teller machine (ATM).

“Those who conduct over-the-counter transactions are reminded to adhere to the standard operating procedures of the Recovery Movement Control Order,” he said in a statement yesterday.

A photo of the notice issued by JSPT had previously gone viral, and was said to be fake.
