Several Barisan Nasional (BN) parliamentarians regarded PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang's willingness to engage with the BN government for the sake of the people's interests as a proactive action that should be praised.

Ketereh MP Tan Sri Annuar Musa said various development agenda to uplift the people's livelihood could be enhanced if PAS was serious to do so.

"BN accepts whoever that wants to work with it," he said when met at the Parliament lobby today.

Yesterday, Abdul Hadi expressed PAS' willingness to work with all quarters, including BN, on matters concerning the people.

Datuk Shamsul Anuar Nasarah (BN-Lenggong) said PAS should have cooperated with BN since a long time ago for the sake of the Malays and Islam.

He hoped the statement by Abdul Hadi on PAS' willingness to work with BN would be translated into action and accepted by all levels in the party, including the grassroots.

Che Mohamad Zulkifly Jusoh (BN-Setiu) regarded the statement by Abdul Hadi as timely for the interests and prosperity of the people.
