Kelantan Umno will focus on three 'grey' parliamentary constituencies in the state in preparation for the 14th General Election (GE14).

State UMNO Liaison Committee chief Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, who is also International Trade and Industry Minister, said the three grey areas were Bachok, Pasir Puteh and Machang, where the party lost by less than 1,000 votes in each.

"The State UMNO Liaision Committee deputy chairman Datuk Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub, the division chiefs and I will hold a small roadshow to every polling centre in the three parliamentary areas.

"We will look at the planning and preparation conducted by members of the committees of the polling centres in the three parliamentary seats," he told reporters after visiting the Jeli parliamentary area, today.

He said the small roadshow was part of the Red Wave Programme launched by Kelantan Umno to wrest back the state from PAS in GE14.

Mustapa who is also Kelantan Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman, said BN would continue to defend the five parliamentary seats won in GE13.

The five seats are Gua Musang, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang and Ketereh.

He said BN would also endeavour to increase the number of votes obtained in these five parliamentary constituencies. -- BERNAMA
