Former Johor Darul Ta'zim II (JDT II) manager On Jabbar has been banned 20 years and fined RM50,000 by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) after he was found guilty of punching a referee in a Premier League match on April 19.

FAM disciplinary committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the decision was made after considering the appeal made by On Jabbar and watching video of the match between JDT II and UiTM FC in Johor Bahru.

"We had discussed this matter at length and considered the appeal made by On Jabbar. The FAM disciplinary committee takes a serious view of this case," he told reporters after chairing the committee meeting at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya, here on Friday.

On Jabbar had punched referee Sukri Abd Rahman on the face after the match between JDT II and UiTM at Pasir Gudang Municipal Council Stadium ended 2-2.

Taufek said On Jabbar confessed to the FAM disciplinary committee that he had punched Sukri on the face.
