Local and foreign motorsports fans took the opportunity to meet their favourite Formula One (F1) drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg during a "Meet The Fans" session, Tuesday.

They gathered in the Concourse of Suria KLCC to greet the two Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team drivers who were thrilled with the hot welcome by the crowd.

The organiser lined up many fun filled off the race track activities for the fans including an autograph session with Hamilton and Rosberg.

Local fan, Fafa Azmi, 24, said she waited for almost three hours just to get the signatures of Hamilton and Rosberg.

"I am very happy because both drivers are friendly and humble and were willing to selfie with me. It is just unbelievable," she said.

Another local fan, Antasha Haizat, 36, said he came all the way from Johor Baharu with his friend just to meet with Hamilton and Rosberg.

"I am willing to take leave today until Sunday just to watch the race this weekend," he said.

A fan from Germany, Oliver Gerald, 42, said he has followed the sport for more than 10 years and this is the second time he came to Malaysia to watch the race at Sepang International Circuit.

"I am very excited and hope to see Rosberg win in Malaysia and distance the points from Hamilton," he said.

A fan from United Kingdom, Jonathan Barkley said it was a great experience since one of the drivers is from his country and he will support all the way.

"Unfortunately I will go home tomorrow and cannot make it to the race. I will come back to feel the excitement," he added.
