The Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) 2017 written examination will be held on Oct 23, 25, 30, 31 and Nov 1 involving 9,534 registered candidates.

The Malaysian Education Ministry said in a statement Friday that 4,951 candidates are from state secondary religious schools; government schools, government aided schools and government aided religious schools (2,365); and secondary public religious schools (704).

According to the ministry, there are also 92 external candidates from Cambodia; private candidates (1,370) and candidates from private schools registered with them (52).

STAM 2017 will be carried out at 240 examination centres opened in Malaysia and Cambodia involving 1,071 invigilators, it said.

In this context, the ministry reminded all candidates to refer to the examination time table for information on the time and instructions as well as warnings that must be adhered to during the examination.

Examination time table can be downloaded from the Examinations Syndicate website at lp.moe.gov.my.

Candidates are also reminded to bring along their identity card to the examination centres to ensure the smooth running of the examination. -- Bernama
