A study conducted by the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) to identify potential development in all sectors in Manjung district, is now in the final stage before the findings are submitted to the state government.

Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir said the study which has been approved by the state government is also looking at proposals to assist in the development of Manjung in the future.

"The study is being prepared to view the current and future proposals about development in Manjung taking into account what is in the region itself and the inherent advantages that exist in Manjung.

"It also covers all areas and is not just focused on Pangkor, Seri Manjung and Sitiawan and we request that it be thorough in the two parliamentary constituencies of Beruas and Lumut in Manjung district," he said.

He said this in a press conference at the ‘Kembara Kasih Ramadhan’ programme organised by NCIA in collaboration with Pangkor State Constituency Community Service Centre, at Dewan Terbuka Kampung Masjid, Pulau Pangkor, here Sunday.

As many as 110 residents of Pulau Pangkor from the lower income group received donations in the form of daily necessities and cash to help ease their burden especially in preparing to usher in the Aidilfitri celebrations.
