Malaysia's award-winning director Ahmad Idham has forged an agreement with Singapore's StarHub TV to enable his movies to be screened in Singapore at the same time they are released for viewing in Malaysia.

The agreement will enable Ahmad's movies to be shown over StarHub's On Demand Channel, Blockbuster Hangat (StarHub TV Channel 117) and StarHub TV Anywhere.

Ahmad had started out as an actor in the late 1990s before progressing to directing and had come up with top movies such as 'Hantu Bonceng' and 'Adnan Sempit'.

Lee Soo Hui, Head of Media Business Unit at StarHub, said: "Blockbuster Hangat was introduced last year to offer our Malay customers the latest titles two weeks after their cinema releases in Malaysia.

"On Thusday, thanks to this partnership with director Ahmad Idham, StarHub customers are now able to watch his movies on Blockbuster Hangat the same day they debut on Malaysia's silver screens.

"This partnership demonstrates our commitment to continually provide the most exciting and freshest content for all segments of our customers," Lee said.

StarHub is Singapore's fully-integrated info-communications company, offering a full range of information, communications and entertainment services for both consumer and corporate markets.
