Barisan Nasional (BN) cannot remain silent instead has to continuously provide true explanations with regards to the Kelantan oil royalty issue to avoid the rakyat from getting flawed information on that matter.

Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said, actual explanation should be provided as a response to the widespread accusations made by PAS and a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), known as Royalty or the letter “R”.

“From BN’s point of view, we cannot remain silent. The people wants an explanation as how I have mentioned earlier.

“This statements made by them are untrue. We challenged them to show their evidence and from our point of view, Kelantan does not actually have state rights, but upon our consideration we gave it to them.

“So, for me what matters is that the people get the correct information and not turn it into an issue. If we don’t mention it, they will eventually,” said Muhyiddin during a press conference here on Friday evening.

Further elaborating on the, Muhyiddin who is alsoBN deputy presidentsaid, it is up to the voters in Pengkalan Kubor to make a rational decision and completely disregard all the claims brought up by PAS and the “R” NGO.

“They (PAS) cannot deny that “R” carries false news and accusations. If there is royalty issue, BN will provide explanation,” he explained.

He added, if required a note explaining the royalty issue will be redrafted to ensure the rakyat understood the actual matter.

Muhyiddin also reminded the campaigners to carry on with their efforts in approaching the voters to support BN candidate, Mat Razi Mat Ail and not to be overconfident as well in winning.
