The Gerakan Youth has urged the government to establish a commission to monitor the cause of severe monetary losses to taxpayers, as highlighted in the Auditor-General's (AG) Report.

The government should also submit a report to Parliment, said the party's youth chief, Tan Keng Lian.

In a statement on Wednesday, he said the report should be an annual report on what action had been taken against the culprits.

He said, if there was no designated body to monitor and give an annual review on the action taken against the issues stated in the AG's Report, then all future AG Reports would an exercise in futility.

He said both the Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat must provide to the proposed commission their action taken against the culprits.
