JOHOR BAHRU: Johor will showcase products by local entrepreneurs that have great potential to penetrate the market and gain a foothold in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

State Youth, Sports, Entrepreneur Development, Cooperatives, and Human Resources Committee chairman Mohd Hairi Mad Shah said the move was following the success of three home-grown Johor companies, namely Daily Fresh Foods Sdn Bhd, Power Root Malaysia, and Rushoe Coating and Insulation Sdn Bhd, which have long been established in the UAE.

He said the Consul General of Malaysia in Dubai, Mohd Fadly Amri Aliaman, had briefed him on the matter at a recent meeting.

"I see that Johor has potential, and under the leadership of Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, who is pushing the Maju Johor 2030 agenda, we definitely want investors from Dubai to invest in the state," he told reporters here today.
