The Global Movement of Moderates (GMM) has proposed a live televsion broadcast of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) proceeding on 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

Its CEO, Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah said the incident that happened during the #Nothing2Hide 'PM's Dialogue with NOGS' event yesterday showed the people were interested on the issues surrounding 1MDB.

"The event yesterday showed the people really wanted to know what were the problems surrounding 1MDB and they want them solved," said Saifuddin during a press conference after attending the 5th Asian Muslim Action Network (AMAN) today.

He was also of the opinion that the debate was not the best way to resolve the 1MDB issue.

Apart from that he said, the issue surrounding the loss of billions of ringgit by the company should be handled by the PAC.

"Since the people want to know, the PAC proceedings should be broadcast live so that people can watch for themselves what is being discussed," said Saifuddin, who is also a former UMNO Supreme Council member.

PERKASA president Datuk Ibrahim Ali yesterday also suggested that the dialogue between Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad should be broadcast on television.

The much anticipated #Nothing2Hide 'PM's Dialogue with NGOs' scheduled on Friday between Najib and non-governmental organizations was cancelled at the last minute by Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar citing security reasons.
