IPOH:The position of the two Perak State Government Exco from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) will be discussed based on wants and needs.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu said the matter would be discussed after the new Menteri Besar was appointed.

Ahmad Faizal who is also the head of the Perak Bersatu Leadership Body said whatever decision is made, it will be based on the common interest of the partners in Perikatan Nasional (PN).

"Every party has various wants. That is what I always say with regards to wants and needs.

"For Bersatu, for example, we want as many positions for our party members. The same goes for Pas and UMNO.

"But, the need for us is to establish a stable government. Therefore, we have to sacrifice our wants sometimes to work together in a stable government.

"So, it is true that this is what UMNO wants but is it an urgent need that we need to pawn whatever principle of consensus that we have built through PN?

"So, ask yourself that question," he said when met after delivering aid to nine Chinese private schools at his office here today.

Bersatu has two Exco members in the Perak state government, namely Datuk Abdul Yunus Jamahri and Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi.

On Friday, UMNO secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said the party was of the view that the PN government in Perak must be maintained and all Exco members must continue.

This was after Ahmad Faizal failed to get the support of the majority in the vote of confidence in him as Menteri Besar during the Perak State Legislative Assembly.
