The Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) will be releasing the preliminary report on the helicopter crash in Semenyih within a week, said its operations director Datuk Yahaya Abdul Rahman.

He said DCA and search teams focus now was to find the voice recorder and collect the helicopter's debris for further investigation.

Speaking to reporters at the scene of the crash, Yahaya said the DCA would be cooperating with the helicopter's manufacturer, Airbus from France, to assist in the investigation especially from the technical standpoint.

He said three DCA representatives and two Air Accident Investigation Bureau members were involved in the investigation.

"DCA also wants to find out if any objects had fallen (from the helicopter) before the crash.
