The two Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officers who were questioned by police earlier, have been arrested after giving their statements at the Putrajaya police headquarters on Wednesday.

Both individuals were then brought to the MACC headquarters as the police wanted to conduct a search on some documents.

Earlier, the two were present at the IPD Putrajaya along with MACC Special Operations deputy director, Datuk Tan Kang Sai to have their statements recorded.

According to MACC spokesman, the three officers who were called at 3pm, left IPD Putrajaya at about 6.45pm.

"They called in connection with the leak of the 1MDB (1Malaysia Development Berhad) information. The two others were arrested earlier, were also with Tan (Kang Sai).

"But the two officers besides Kang Sai were detained and brought to the MACC headquarters to have some documents searched including related items such as computers and such," he said when met here today.

It is learned that one of the detained officer is Che Roslan Ahmad from the MACC Special Operations Division.

Roslan has given his statement to the police on Monday with two other officers namely Special Operations MACC director Datuk Bahri Mohamad Zin and MACC Director of Forensic, IG Chandran.

However, the spokesman has yet to disclose the names of other officers who were detained.

Tan is the seventh MACC officer summoned to have his statement taken after two other officers from the same division had been called up yesterday.
