KUALA LUMPUR: The UMNO Supreme Council special meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed to Sept 30.

UMNO secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said the special meeting was postponed because Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who is also UMNO vice-president, would be involved in the Malaysia Games (Sukma) opening ceremony at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in Bangi tomorrow night.

"The new date for the UMNO Supreme Council meeting is Friday, Sept 30, at 8 pm," he said in a post on his Facebook page today.

Ahmad also said that the UMNO leadership had been invited to attend the Barisan Nasional Youth machinery launch at the KL Titiwangsa Stadium tomorrow at 2 pm.
