MIC has dropped its strategic director S. Vell Paari from the central working committee.

In a statement MIC president Datuk Seri G. Palanivel said that two new members have been appointed to the central working committee . They are Sunthar Subramaniam and Datuk S. Sothinathan.

Palanivel said Sunthar will replace Puteri leader Usha Nandini while Sothinathan will replace Vell Paari.

Sunthar, who is the current branch chairman of the Seputih division, is the son of former MIC deputy president Tan Sri S. Subramaniam.

Sothinathan, on the other hand, is former vice president and former member of parliament for Teluk Kemang.

"I thank both Usha and Vell Paari for their services," he said in a statement.

"Usha will, however, continue to sit as an observer in the working committee," he added.
