A screening of 20 family members of a COVID-19 positive pregnant woman who returned from Ampang, Kuala Lumpur to her hometown in Kelantan, found them negative.

Director-General of Health, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, however, said a test result involving 10 other family members of the woman had not been obtained.

“We have been investigating the case of this 31-year-old woman who is 35 weeks pregnant. We have done a screening of her family members.

"A total of 20 people were found to be negative for COVID-19 while another 10 are still awaiting their results," he said at a press conference here on Thursday.

Dr Noor Hisham said the MOH would also investigate all close contacts involving the woman's current location in Kelantan, in addition to tracking the close contacts at her home in Ampang.
