KUALA LUMPUR:A total of 243 individuals were arrested by the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) yesterday for violating the Movement Control Order (MCO).

Here are five highlights from the media statement by Senior Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today:

1. 243 individuals were detained for disobeying orders of the Movement Control Order (MCO).

2. Op Benteng detained 32 illegal immigrants (PATI), two skippers and seized 10 land vehicles.

3. 35 sanitation operations were carried out in 11 Red Zones, five Orange Zones, seven Yellow Zones and two Green Zones involving eight states and one in the Federal Territory.

4. 75,212 individuals returned home via international border entrances and are all placed in 75 hotels and 18 public training institutes (ILA) as well as private learning institutions from July 24 to November 25.

5. Ismail Sabri assured that there is adequate supply of essential goods and the country is able to meet domestic needs.
