The body of a woman, believed to be a foreigner, was found with hands and feet bound in a rubbish bin in an industrial area in Jalan Bukit Rahman Putra 8/1, Sungai Buluh, yesterday.

Gombak Police deputy chief Supt Rosly Hassan said the body of the woman, in her late 20s, was found by a contract worker at 11.40 am.

"The worker saw the fully-clothed body, wrapped in a plastic canvas sheet, when clearing the rubbish. Police found strangulation marks on the neck and injuries on the face."

Rosly said no identification documents were found on the body. He also said it was believed that the woman had been dead for less than 24 hours and that she was probably killed elsewhere.

Police had ruled out robbery as the motive as a necklace and a gold ring were found on the body, he added.

The body was sent to the Sungai Buluh Hospital for a post-mortem.
