A group of 11 members of Sabah Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) who had held various posts at state and branch levels, today announced their decision to quit the party.

The group, led by Datuk Nani Sakam, who is former Sabah PKR Special Task Force director, claimed that thousands of their supporters had also joined them in leaving the party.

Announcing the matter at a press conference here, Nani said they made the decision because they had lost confidence in Sabah PKR leadership led by Datuk Christina Liew.

He said the group, however, had yet to decide on their new political direction.

Several policemen were spotted at the press conference to maintain order and monitor the situation. - BERNAMA
