KUALA LUMPUR:The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) has identified four more new COVID-19 clusters today.

Director General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said it involves the Sabah Olive Cluster, Negeri Sembilan and Putrajaya Bah Pasir Cluster, Perak Pengkalan Perak Cluster and Saguking Labuan Cluster.

According to him, the Sabah Olive Cluster involves the Hulu Langat district in the state of Selangor and the Kota Marudu and Penampang districts in the state of Sabah.

"The index case for this cluster (ie case 11489 ) has been identified in Selangor as a result of screening to return from high risk areas (Sabah).

"COVID-19 positive cases were detected on October 2, 2020 and were admitted to Sungai Buloh Hospital. Close contact screening has identified 16 more COVID-19 positive cases," he added in a press conference on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Dr Noor Hisham said the Negeri Sembilan and Putrajaya Bah Pasir Clusters involved Port Dickson district in Negeri Sembilan and Putrajaya district in the Federal Territory of Putrajaya.

He said the index case for this cluster (ie case 14,329) has been identified as a result of screening to return from high risk areas (Sabah).

The case was positively detected by COVID-19 on October 8, 2020 and was admitted to Tuanku Jaafar Hospital, Seremban, he added.

"Close contact screening has identified four more COVID-19 positive cases. As of October 15, 2020, 12 noon, a total of 82 individuals have been screened, of which five COVID-19 positive cases were detected, 74 negative individuals and three individuals whose results are still pending, " explained Dr. Noor Hisham.

In the meantime, he said, the Pengkalan Perak Bah Cluster involves the Hulu Perak district in the state of Perak.

The index cases for this cluster (i.e. case 14,345 cases and 14,346) have been identified as a result of screening to return from high risk areas (Sabah) and COVID-19 positively detected cases on 8 October 2020 and have been admitted to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital, Ipoh.

Close contact screening has identified five more positive COVID-19 cases.

As of October 15, 2020, at 12 noon, a total of 330 individuals have been screened, of which six cases detected positive COVID-19, 47 negative individuals and 277 individuals are still awaiting results.

Meanwhile, the Saguking Cluster involves Labuan districts in the Federal Territory of Labuan and the index cases for this cluster (i.e. case 15657) has been positively identified COVID-19 as a result of screening for admission to Labuan Hospital on 11 October 2020.

Close contact screening has identified four more positive COVID-19 cases.

"As of October 15, 2020, at 12 noon, a total of 43 individuals have been screened, of which five cases were detected positive for COVID-19, three negative individuals and 35 individuals are still awaiting results," said Dr Noor Hisham.
