KUALA TERENGGANU: Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang said it was not appropriate to dissolve parliament in the near future.

He said Pas was taking into account the factors of economic recovery and expected monsoon season which would make it difficult for the people and the government machinery.

"Pas will continue discussions and negotiations with all parties (political parties, NGOs, academics and community leaders) to ensure the success of the ummah's unity agenda, in order to reach common ground and avoid clashes with each other, thereby defeating Pakatan Harapan," he said in a statement today.

Abdul Hadi said the country's interests and that of the people should be prioritised, while the economic recovery measures such as that in the 2023 Budget should be supported.
