KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah extended their Hari Raya Aidiladha greetings to all Muslims in Malaysia.

According to a post on Istana Negara Facebook today, His Majesty prayed that the sacrifices of Malaysians in maintaining harmony and wellbeing of the country would be rewarded by Allah SWT.

"His Majesty also prays that the Haj of Malaysian pilgrims will be accepted by Allah SWT and they will return home safely, " according to the post.

According to Istana Negara, Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah left to perform wukuf in Arafah and later moved to Muzdalifah for the 'mabit' (overnight stay) yesterday.

Their Majesties were accompanied by Pahang Regent Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah as well as their children.

The royal couple will be performing tawaf and saie at the Grand Mosque in Makkah today (June 28) which is the 10th day of Zulhijjah 1444H in the Muslim calendar.

"His Majesty expressed gratitude to Allah SWT for being blessed with the grace to spend time in Arafah and stay in Muzdalifah as preparation for the final stage of the Haj pilgrimage," read the post.

Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah are scheduled to return home on July 2.

The government of Saudi Arabia earlier announced that Wukuf Day, the peak of the Haj pilgrimage day is on Tuesday, June 27, while Aidiladha is celebrated today.

Muslims in Malaysia will celebrate Aidiladha tomorrow (June 29).
