Premium short-haul airline Firefly on Thursday launched its first flight to Krabi in southern Thailand from Penang International Airport.

Its CEO Ignatius Ong said in a statement the airline will operate three times weekly to and from Penang/Krabi using its 72-seater, single-class ATR 72-600 turboprop.

"The three times weekly flights from Penang to Krabi is complemented by another four weekly flights to Phuket and three weekly flights to Koh Samui, bringing it to a total of 10 weekly flights between Penang and Thailand," he said.

All-in one-way fares, for travel from today onwards, start from RM147 or 1470 THB.
